Mossy Honeycomb Rock

Highly mafic, igneous volcanic bassalt rock, fine-grained, dark coloured, dense rock which has a dull, granular appearance. Basalt is often porphyritic, it commonly has holes (vesicles) which were once gas bubbles; later, these holes often fill with mineral matter.

A good all-rounder, ideal for, retaining, all domestic and commercial garden applications, steps and water features.

This rock is sourced locally and from the Colac region.
